Size
Actual sock size, unstretched: 8.5 inch foot, 7.5 inch circumference.  There is plenty of stretch in this sock due to the rib-like flame stitch.  This sock best fits a women’s medium.

Or use your favorite increase.



TOE
Cast-on 12 stitches per needle using Judy’s Magic Cast-on method, knit next round as per JMC instructions.  Then, knit following rounds, increasing to 30 stitches per needle, as described below:

Turn work to begin working heel on a WS row of heel stitches.
You will now begin working back and forth across the heel stitches.
The instep stitches will not be used for this part.
